Why is the Pepsico deal dead?
As well as Pepsic, the club also announced that it has completed the signing of the Argentine international goalkeeper Diego Alves for a fee of €5m, with the move set to be completed in the coming days.
It was announced in January that Alves had signed for the Serie A side on a one-year deal.
The move came after the former Juventus player joined Italian side AC Milan for €18m in 2012, with a move to the Italian capital also announced.
Alfonso Alves will sign for AC Milan on a two-year contract.
The Argentinian was born in Argentina, having moved to Argentina from Italy when he was 11 years old.
The signing of Alves was one of the most anticipated signings of the summer, as the 21-year-old was highly rated in the Serie B with Juventus, but the move fell through with the Nerazzurri unable to agree terms with the player’s agent.
