Nail jobs: Where are they?
The job market is tough in the nail industry, where workers struggle to find a job and are often discouraged from taking part in union-organised strikes.
But the nail salon industry has seen a surge in recent years, with nail salons accounting for a third of the jobs created in the country.
The industry has long relied on salons as an outlet for workers and is one of the most profitable in the world.
It is also one of India’s biggest employers and employs over one million people, accounting for almost a third to a quarter of the workforce.
