Walmart jobs cut, unemployment rate rises in US

WASHINGTON (AP) The number of Americans looking for work has soared to more than 3 million, up from 2.3 million the previous week, according to data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

It’s also up slightly from the 2.1 million jobs created last week, and the lowest level since August, when the unemployment rate was 5.8%.

The increase is the biggest since August 2014.

Wages rose 1.2% last month, the strongest gain since June.

The number is up by about 300,000 from a year ago.

The BLS data is released daily.

The data comes amid a broader hiring surge, with the number of new jobs added in April up 2.7% from a month earlier.

That is the fastest pace of growth since March of this year.

The Labor Department is tracking a new peak in hiring in May, but it doesn’t track the rate of new hires.

Job gains were fueled in part by a sharp uptick in self-employment, where people work full-time and take time off from their jobs to care for their families.

That helped the number rise in April, from a previous monthly low of 1.9 million.

Some economists believe the increase in self work could lead to a rise in part-time work.

That’s a concern for many Americans who are struggling to find jobs.

“It seems like we are getting more self-employed,” said Peter Morici, an economist with the Economic Policy Institute.

The self-help phenomenon also fueled the overall increase in hiring.

The jobs number is based on a broad measure of hiring that includes all people working full time but not people who want full- time work but have fewer hours than full-timers.

“We’ve had some very large increases in part time work,” said Doug Band, senior vice president of labor economics at the Center for American Progress, a liberal think tank.

Some experts are concerned about a surge in part jobs.

About 3.4 million jobs were created in March, the Labor Department said.

That was the largest increase since December of 2014.

The last time the number was that high was in July of that year, when 3.1-million jobs were added.

The government said the increase could continue to grow, with about 2.4m jobs added this year, and 2.9m in 2018.

The Bureau of Economic Analysis, a branch of the U.S. Census Bureau, said that despite the increase, jobs created were higher than the number who wanted full- or part- time employment.

About 5.3% of Americans want full or part time jobs, the BLS said.

About 4.5% of people want part-timing, or working from home, and about 3.9% want part time.

About 1.4% want full time work, while about 0.9%, or fewer, want part times.

The bureau said that part- and full-season jobs fell in March and April, but they were still higher than in the same months last year.

This was the first time in more than two years that part time and part-season employment was lower than full time employment, and that was the highest for a full-year period since May 2015.

“There is a trend for part- or full-monthly employment to be lower,” said Dave Mankiw, chief economist of Moody’s Analytics.

He said that might be partly because employers have seen an uptick in part timers.

The unemployment rate in the past year fell to 6.9%.

By now, we’ve all heard the headlines about the recent spate of Walmart jobs disappearing from Walmart’s website.

But what if Walmart could just hire some of its workers to do the job?

That’s what a new company called JobLab has done.

JobLab was started by a pair of college students, Jared and Emily M. Shoup, who wanted to take a more serious look at the job market for workers in the retail industry.

For one thing, the Shoup brothers realized that their dream job was to actually have a job at Walmart.

For another, they wanted to understand what Walmart’s retail workers were actually getting paid for, and why they weren’t getting the pay they were supposed to.

Joblab, which started as a startup in 2011, now has more than 400 employees.

Shoups say they have a team of 200 people who work on the job at all hours of the day and night, including the weekdays.

It’s a big job, they say.

And the Shouvers say they love it.

They have an average of 16 hours a day spent working on the jobs, and they love what they do.

“We have a lot of passion about this, and I’m very excited to have a place where I can be a part of this,” Jared Shoup said.

“I love this job and this company, and we’re looking forward to the future of this business.”

For years, Walmart has tried to lure new employees with its “one-stop shop” stores, but it’s struggled to make those programs profitable.

So, JobLab, with the help of the National Retail Federation, is trying to figure out what makes those stores so successful, and how to replicate those programs at other retail companies.

Job Lab’s goal is to make a Walmart employee more competitive in the job marketplace by offering a variety of job opportunities, starting with a new job.

For the first time, Joblab is taking its jobs and their pay seriously.

The ShouPS said the company wants to create a new kind of Walmart where employees get paid what they are entitled to, even if it means working in a store that is located in a different state.

And JobLab is also offering to offer paychecks for jobs that pay for groceries, and even health care.

“It’s a little bit like a health insurance plan,” Jared said.

Job lab’s CEO, Emily Shoup says the company has worked to ensure the people who get paid the most in Walmart’s online store aren’t getting paid the least.

“If we are not getting paid at a rate that reflects the true value of our services, we are taking a step back from our service and looking at how we can help improve our service,” Emily Shoup said.

It is a process that has taken more than two years.

Emily Shoulps started JobLab in 2011 after working at Walmart for four years.

She has worked at the company for nine years and recently left to pursue a PhD in psychology.

She said that, while working at Wal-Mart, she had never experienced a job where her pay wasn’t fair and that she was never treated fairly.

“Walmart doesn’t pay you fairly, but you have to make sure you’re not getting the same pay you’re entitled to,” she said.

Shoulp said the ShOUPS have been doing a lot more than just trying to pay their employees more money.

They’ve been hiring more employees to fill out the job openings.

For example, Shoulsoup said, they’ve hired a number of people to do customer service.

And they’ve been paying them more than what they were paid before.

“Our job is to keep them motivated to stay in this position and to get their hands dirty,” she explained.

Shoulspan said that in order to help employees with pay, Job Lab is also partnering with some of the biggest names in the workforce to help them get more work done.

“They’re helping us to find jobs that are more appropriate for them,” she added.

One example of that is helping some of JobLab’s employees who are still working at the stores.

They are offering a two-week “summer job” to anyone who wants to take part.

The two-day program is supposed to be a chance to work on something outside of the Walmart stores and have a fun day out.

“A lot of people who are struggling right now are struggling to get to where they need to go,” Shoulpa said.

But Shoulsa’s plan to help people find work is more than simply helping people get more money for themselves.

It also offers them a chance at becoming a part-time worker, which would give them the flexibility to work from home, as well as the chance to keep the benefits they’ve earned.
